Terms of Use

1. Not an emergency service; not professional advice

The Site provides general information about community resources. It does not provide medical, mental-health, legal, financial, or social-work advice, and nothing on the Site creates a provider–client relationship. Always confirm eligibility, hours, cost, and availability with the organization directly, and seek qualified professional help for your situation.

2. About the directory

• Listings describe independent organizations that are not owned, operated, or controlled by Created for Purpose. We do our best to verify listings, and we mark those we have confirmed, but information changes and we cannot guarantee that any listing is accurate, complete, current, or that services will be available to you.
• A listing is not an endorsement, recommendation, or referral, and we receive no payment for including an organization.
• When you call, email, visit, or submit information to a listed organization, you are dealing with that organization under its own terms and policies. We are not a party to those interactions.
• If you find a listing that is wrong or out of date, please use the "Report" link on the listing or contact us so we can fix it.

3. Purpose Partner assistant

Purpose Partner uses artificial intelligence to suggest listings based on what you type. It is an automated tool, not a person, and it can misunderstand you or make mistakes. Its suggestions are limited to the listings in our directory and are provided for convenience only. Do not rely on it for emergencies, and do not enter sensitive personal information such as Social Security numbers, health records, or details about other people. 4. Accounts

• You do not need an account to browse, search, or use Purpose Partner.
• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, please use the Site with a parent's or guardian's knowledge.
• You agree to give accurate information, keep your password confidential, and tell us promptly at info@createdforpurpose.org if you believe your account has been accessed without permission. You are responsible for activity under your account.
• You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are being misused.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Site in a way that is unlawful, harmful, harassing, or that interferes with others' use.
• Submit false, misleading, or malicious listing reports or feedback.
• Attempt to access another person's account or any non-public part of the Site.
• Scrape, crawl, bulk-download, or republish the directory, or use it to build a competing product, without our written permission. (Nonprofits and agencies who would like to share our data should contact us — we are usually glad to help.)
• Upload malware, probe for vulnerabilities, or overload the Site.
• Use the Site to send unsolicited messages or to advertise.

6. Things you submit

If you send us a listing report, a suggestion, a correction, or feedback, you give Created for Purpose a perpetual, royalty-free license to use it to operate and improve the Site. You confirm that you have the right to share it and that it does not contain other people's private information. We may edit or decline to act on any submission.

7. Our content

The Site's design, text, logos, and software are owned by Created for Purpose or its licensors and are protected by copyright and trademark law. Map data is © OpenStreetMap contributors. You may view, print, and share listings for personal, non-commercial use, and may link to the Site. Any other use requires our permission.

8. Third-party links

The Site links to websites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, accuracy, privacy practices, or availability, and a link does not mean we endorse the site.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SITE AND ALL LISTINGS, SUGGESTIONS, AND CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT ANY LISTED ORGANIZATION WILL PROVIDE SERVICES TO YOU.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY GEORGIA LAW, CREATED FOR PURPOSE AND ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, VOLUNTEERS, AND PARTNERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR RELIANCE ON THE SITE, ANY LISTING, OR ANY LISTED ORGANIZATION. BECAUSE THE SITE IS FREE, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100). SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS, SO SOME OF THESE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for gross negligence or willful misconduct. Directors and officers of Created for Purpose are also protected by the immunities provided to nonprofit volunteers and directors under Georgia law and the federal Volunteer Protection Act.

11. Your responsibility

You agree to defend and hold Created for Purpose harmless from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Site.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you have a concern, please contact us first — we will try in good faith to resolve it informally within 30 days. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Dougherty County, Georgia, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Claims must be brought within one year after they arise.

13. Accessibility

We want everyone to be able to use the Site and we work toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA. If you have trouble using any part of the Site, email info@createdforpurpose.org and we will help you get the information another way.

14. General

• Changes. We may update these Terms; the effective date at the top will change and, for material changes, we will post a notice on the Site. Continued use after that date means you accept the new Terms.
• Severability. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
• Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Created for Purpose about the Site.
• No waiver. Our not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it.
