The Lily Pad SANE Center is an umbrella organization that houses the Firefly House and Oak House Children’s Advocacy Center, the Boren Center for Sexual Violence, Parents Accessing Visitation and Education Services (PAVES), and System of Care Dougherty. The Bob Boren Center encompasses the SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner’s) Program that exclusively conducts all of the medical/evidentiary exams for children and adults who have been sexually assaulted in a 32 county area. The Boren Center also encompasses the Rape Crisis Program which offers a 24 hour crisis hotline for all victims of sexual assault. Firefly House and Oak House are Child Advocacy Centers. A Children’s Advocacy Center is a safe place for the evaluation of alleged child sexual abuse. Children’s Advocacy Centers (CACs) enhance the response to suspected child abuse cases by combining the wisdom and professional knowledge of various investigative agencies and other professionals. Dougherty PAVES (Parents Accessing Visitation and Education Services) is successfully connecting children with their non-custodial parents for visitation and quality time. PAVES offers professional expertise on co-parenting and visitation issues and helps children reap the benefits of having two parents actively involved in their lives. System of Care provides family driven services through Resource Navigators at Lily Pad. The family is afforded an advocate/Family Resource navigator at the time of services to liaison between the family and the service providers to assure as much comfort and respect possible during the initial phase of information gathering. The Family Resource Navigator also provides a link between the family and the much needed resources in the community and teaches the family how to access these resources.
